My  work explores the limits of the word and writing, the limits of representation. It is an attempt to wander along that border between sense and nonsense, between the possible and the impossible, surrounding the void.
I have chosen references from Taoism and  Lacanian Psychoanalysis readings.
A personal technique and materials such as literary texts (poetry), paper, synthetic raffia  allow me to support these ideas and generate different morphologies.
I take the text as a frame, a texture, weaving emptiness and sense, the continued presence of the enigma.
A quote from the poem “La Dicha” (“Happiness”) written by Jorge Luis Borges underlies and goes along with my work:

“…Everything happens for the first time, but in a way that is eternal.

Whoever reads my words is inventing them.”

I wrote this for the exhibition "LA FRONTERA" at the Museum  Franz Mayer, Mexico City, June 2013. The purpose was to synthesize a change for me: Contemporary Jewellery understood from the design perspective with its guidelines and conditions, such as grammatical syntax and spelling rules, until  it becomes for me a singular invention.
