Immersed in a dreamy and romantic world, I find myself particularly fascinated by the delicacy and subtlety of many natural and artificial elements, due to their material, visual and emotional properties, and everything they evoque.
I aim to explore the perception of the object, the interaction between jewel and it´s carrier, their corporal, intimate and emotional bond, and it´s functionality in the personal relationship. Through vulnerable pieces, using fragile structures and ethereal forms I try to generate immediate and conscious intimacy, in the way they are used, carried and felt as unique and present.
Nature is my inspiration: its ephemeral beauty, simplicity and harmony; its textures, meticulous patterns and organic shapes. I experiment with repetition of small elements: each piece comes to life, grows.
I am interested in researching about materials. I enjoy exploring and transforming them, always trying to understand and respect its nature; rescuing the unpredictability of each process to create unique pieces.

Work in progress
In recent years, through ceramics and contemporary
jewellery , I have experienced the pulsion to work materials pushing them to
its thinnest proportions, and from there I have created fragile and delicate
pieces. During the process many of them deformed, went bankrupt or broke. Each piece had a story, but also they were aesthetically
beautiful: their broken shapes were imperfect in their sharp edges but fluid,
natural, spontaneous, always revealing a new internal color or texture. Driven
by the desire to create, after frustration, I learned to live with it, transforming
them into new pieces.
I attempted to follow the suggestions of increasing
thicknesses, but I always ended the same: the reason was telling me one thing,
but my hands were telling me another. I Understood, that further to know
materials, to understand them I needed to accept them. I started to think that maybe what I was
trying to avoid (the fracture, the spoilage), was actually the visual evidence
that showed me better the delicacy of the material.
What's behind the fragility of objects? What is the meaning
of fracture? Which is the reason/cause and course/progress of their short lives?
What happens when we break a jewel or art piece and unlike any other object? What is the cultural difference between an
object and a jewel? Why is it so hard to accept that such vulnerability is part
of its beauty, to make a commitment to use it, to make it part of us?
