STATEMENT

“Tan lejos ,tan cerca. In weiter ferne, so nah.” (So far, so close) reveals the desire to transform dreams into reality, reflects the physical and invisible distance, that we make visible through the material, our personal work.

Our aim is to display the essence of our characteristics and to bring fragments of Argentinian contemporary jewelry into a space intended for meeting and conversation. We wish to stimulate the desires between the beholder, the wearer and the maker, in an attempt to narrow distances.

Sabina Tiemroth has been working on a particular collection "itself". Using the remnants of fabric salvaged threads, she works with the idea of the Line as the main element of construction.
The same line, same material, that folds in on itself as roads, forming reliefs and volume, internal spaces and voids that lead to something new... to infinity”

For Francine Schloeth the concept of her "NOIRE" series in plaster and foam is the result of an expressive minimalist search. Grades of black that involve variations of light and shade. Solitary and grouped shapes with a fully smooth or textured relief presence.

Patricia Gallucci will stimulate a certain intimacy with the jewel from the delicate, subtle and ephemeral. Her “Broken” series focuses on the concept of fracture as revealing the fragility and nature of the material. Action, accident and chance are a vehicle to provoke curiosity, discovery, contemplation, acceptance and re-assessment of a piece. Opening a new world into the object; changing frustration by illusion.

Alejandra Koreck chooses as concept the border between sense and nonsense in her written jewels. She takes the text as texture, weaving sense and emptiness. She develops her own personal technique and uses poetry, paper, cloth, synthetic raffia and metal to generate different morphologies.

For Iacov Azubel the leaves of the tree of life are responsible for feeding the trunk through experiences, anecdotes, facts and memories, printing and defining us as individuals. He works with gold foil, silver, lacquer and textiles through artisan weaving techniques.

Luz Arias merges the body with the desire, the colour, and the playful, to show her interest in a joyful dialog. She combines metals and woods, the assembly, nudity and hidden emotions. Being crossed by softness and finding the lust of serene smoothness.
